How to Write and Sound Like A Professional Blogger

How to Write and Sound Like A Professional Blogger

Blog Writing Should Be A Fun Activity
When writing content for a blog, it should be a fun deal. It's fun because blog writing is different from all other forms of writing. Blogging is sort of like writing a journal. You can be coherent, textbook-ish, or be a smarty pants. Whichever form you choose it's completely acceptable. There is a special "bloggery" tone that is pertinent in almost all blogs. I would compare this "bloggery" tone to how YouTubers create their videos. It has a very specific flavor and it always feels exactly the same.
For people who may have just started blogging, finding this tone of writing can be challenging. That's because people take the writing part way too seriously.
But Don't Forget the Usual Suspects
It's understandable though that in any forms of writing it has to be done right. The obvious things are spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. That's because if you neglect those things, people simply won't understand what you're saying. To add in the blogging flare in any niche or subject, you just have to let loose. Let your emotions write for you. Being too factual without any or little emotions will result in a stuffy or pretentious piece of writing,
Let's Achieve "Bloggery 101"
To write in blog form means to write informally. To write informally is to write with freedom. Writing too consciously or too cautiously will disturb the creative freedom of your mind. You just need to be honest in words and emotions. Here are a few suggestions that allow great freedom in thought and emotions when writing.
  • Write with peace of mind
  • Do not write angry or with any negative emotions. This blocks creativity
  • Before writing, allow a form of inspiration to seep in your mind
  • Create a thorough style of tone that creates personality
  • Use a thesaurus and dictionary to pinpoint the words you need
  • Most of all, enjoy the subject you are writing about

How to Write Successful Content Even If the Subject Is Dry
Not everything you write is all about fun and entertainment. Some topics are just super boring or plain dry. Let's take for example HTML, insurance, or jogging. Writing about any of these topics without sounding like a textbook can be very challenging. So how do we encounter this obstacle and give our readers a great experience?
First understand what it feels like to be the reader. How does it feel to read something about HTML or insurance. Is it fun or is it boring? If you are a webmaster learning about HTML then coding would be a fun topic. What if you're an insurance guy who wants to learn about HTML? How then does your piece of writing come off to the insurance guy? Will the reader want to read until the end? Will they be bored to tears after the first paragraph? These questions matter because delivery is important.
How to Succeed With a Textbook-ish Content
Suggestively, when making blog content we want to pick a great angle. We can't just dive into the subject like diving into concrete because it's going to hurt. What we need to do is ease in the information. To be a great blogger is to "lay it out on 'em". In english that means to write things simply and elaborately. Yes, simple and elaborate are two very opposite things. What this means though is this; Simple in explanation but elaborate in the method of explaining. So you have to go in and out, left and right to explain your cause to the reader. Doing this all in a simple minded type of language will yield the best result.
How to Keep What We've Learned
To remember what we've learned here let's consider a method of practice. When writing, allow your heart and emotion to be involved. By doing this, it will allow you write wholly. Try to also practice creative writing. Write about things that come to mind. Don't create borders or limitations to your practice. Make it fun and enjoyable. If you measure writing with a metronome or ruler, nobody will feel the life from your written words. There will be no imprint in the things you say on paper. It will be just as good as the algorithm used by an article spinner software.
